Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is a standard template, not legal advice — review it with a lawyer before relying on it for a live product handling real user data.

1. What we collect

When you create an account through Google or GitHub sign-in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. If you complete your BuildArken profile, we also store what you choose to add: username, bio, website, and social links.

If you use Creator features, we store the tools you publish, along with view counts and ratings on them. We also store your favorites, recently viewed tools, and any reviews you write.

2. How we use it

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in across sessions
  • To show your public profile and published tools to other users
  • To personalize your Dashboard (favorites, recently viewed, recommendations)
  • To understand aggregate usage of the site via Google Analytics

3. Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to run BuildArken:

  • Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage
  • Google & GitHub — used only for sign-in (OAuth); we never see your password
  • Google Analytics — aggregate, anonymized usage statistics
  • Vercel — hosts the website itself

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage to remember your language and theme preference. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5. Your rights

You can edit or remove most of your profile information yourself from Settings. For anything you can't change yourself — including full account deletion — contact us and we'll handle it directly.

6. Children's privacy

BuildArken isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
